Time to paint my cabinet. I've been watching youtube videos all week. I've never done this before, but it doesn't look too hard.
 

I followed a cross between this and this video and here's how it turned out:
 

I painted the whole cabinet black last night and let it dry. Then, I followed the video to paint the planets. I used newspaper to create the moon surface and placed a microwave splatter cover over the planet before painting black around it.
 

I sprayed white paint into a straw, let the excess paint drip out, then "flicked" the straw toward the black area. This gave the background stars. That part really isn't shown very well in the video. But it worked like a charm. I also held a newspaper near the background and sprayed it with the sky blue paint. This allowed a little of the overspray to go onto the black area.
 

I ran out of black paint, so I'll have to run to the store. I used the 2 full cans already.
 

I picked up another can of black paint and finished the second side. You can watch the video linked above for how I made the planets with white spray paint and a crinkled up newspaper. Then, I placed the round objects on the planets and spray painted black around everything.
 

I did 3 planets on this side by using the spray can lid for the third planet.
 

Once the black was done, I sprayed white paint into a straw, let the excess drip out, then "flicked" the straw toward the black area creating the background star field.
 

I also held a newspaper about a foot above the box and sprayed it with the sky blue. This allowed a little of the blue overspray land on the background.
 

Once everything was somewhat dry (about 30 minutes) I removed the round objects and let it dry the rest of the way.
