Legs

Now that the paint is dry, time to put the legs on. I created a jigjig: a device that holds a piece of work and guides the tools operating on it out of an old scrap 4x6 (4x4 would work) by changing the skill saw angle to 45° and cutting a V in one side. Then, I used the drill to put holes in the opposite side from the V as a guide for the leg bolts.

I placed the guide on the outside of the cabinet and drilled the leg holes on all 4 corners. I attached the legs with the leg bolts and leg braces. My cabinet is now standing on it's own 4 feet!

I wasn't planning to paint my "lock down bar", but I think it kinda sticks out. I'll think about how to handle that as I make the backbox...
